“There are several reasons this airport is a perennial “Top 10 Airports of the World”: modern, efficient, clean, well laid out, excellent shopping/restaurants, and I could go on. We always get here 3-4 hours in advance of our flight, primarily to get one last Bavarian meal and some local bier, as well as some final shopping done. I don’t like traveling, but transiting Munchen Flughafen makes the experience a little more palatable. “
—Rich S (Santa Maria, United States)
“Extremely clean airport with a top notch Lufthansa lounge. Everything is easily accessible and in English. They have shuttle services to bring you between gates as needed for your transfers. Bathrooms are very clean and WiFi is strong/abundant. Impressive airport.”

Most of Munich Airport’s facilities are located in the area between two runways. The approach road and the railway divide the west part into a southern half, which contains cargo and maintenance facilities; and the northern half, which mostly contains administrative buildings and service facilities, a holiday long-term parking lot and the visitor’s centre. It is followed by the west apron and Terminal one, then the Munich Airport Center, Terminal 2 and the east apron. The airport also has 2 passenger terminals.
